We enjoyed a family vacation here during the winter of 2021. Located near the Oregon border, it’s just a 45-minute drive from Portland, Oregon. We rented an Airbnb for a week and spent our time enjoying the beautiful snowy weather and peaceful surroundings.

Washougal River – The drive from Portland to Washougal was scenic, with part of the route running alongside the Washougal River. This river is a significant tributary of the Columbia River in southwest Washington, flowing near the city of Washougal and marking part of the western entrance to the Columbia River Gorge.

Washougal Airbnb – Our four-bedroom Airbnb was spacious and featured a lovely backyard. One of the enclosed patios offered a fantastic view of Dougan Falls. We had plenty of snow that week, and the backyard became the perfect place to play in the snow, build snowmen, and enjoy quality time together.

Scenic Walk in Washougal – Taking the dog for a walk was a wonderful experience, with beautiful scenery in every direction. Along the way, we passed small waterfalls along the creek and enjoyed a full, wide view of Dougan Falls on the Washougal River.
