Rhode Island is a state in the Northeastern part of United States and is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to its south. Nicknamed as the Ocean State, it is the smallest state in the United States by land area. Rhode Island is one of the six New England states that includes Connecticut, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.
