Ohio

Ohio (Capitol Columbus) is located in the midwestern region of the United States and is nicknamed the “Buckeye State” after its Ohio buckeye trees. Some interesting facts about Ohio :

  • Ohio derives its name from the Ohio River that forms its southern border
  • It has the largest Amish population of any state in the nation.
  • Ohio’s Oberlin College, founded in 1833, was the first interracial and coeducational college in the United States.
