Newfield – is a small and charming rural town, known for its quiet countryside, forests, and lakes. We rented an Airbnb for 4 nights overlooking the gorgeous Balch pond and had a blast, boating and hiking.
Mackworth Island State Park – About 45 miles east of Newfield, Mackworth Island State Park is a small, scenic island park off the coast of Falmouth, connected to the mainland by a short causeway. The park features an easy 1.5 mile walking trail that circles the island, with picnic areas, shoreline access, and several strategically placed benches allowing hikers to relax and reflect while offering fantastic views of Casco Bay.
