We visited Germany in 2016. We had planned to spend about 10 days in this country, and it was hard to pick the cities to visit as every city/town in Germany has something unique to offer to tourists. We finally settled for the following itinerary which was a mix of big cities, small towns/villages and Palaces.
- Berlin – Day 1-3
- Cologne – Day 4 (Early morning flight to Cologne from Berlin – Overnight Cologne)
- Frankfurt – Day 5 (Early morning train to Frankfurt from Cologne – Overnight Frankfurt)
- Heidelberg – Day 6 (Rented a car in Frankfurt and drove to Heidelberg – Overnight Heidelberg)
- Rothenburg – Day 7 (Stopped on the way to Munich – Overnight Munich)
- Munich – Day 8, 9
