Presque Isle State Park is a peninsula that curves out into Lake Erie, creating Presque Isle Bay, an important shipping and transport center. The park is open daily year-round and has plenty to offer, including 11 miles of beach, several hiking trails, a beautiful coastline, lighthouses etc. The park also hosts seasonal events and summer concerts that are free and open to the public.
We visited this place in May 2021, booked a picnic pavilion and spent a whole day here biking, hiking, picnicking, getting our feet wet at the beach and more.

Presque Isle Lighthouse – The Presque Isle Light, historically nicknamed the “Flash Light” and 68 feet tall, is one of three lighthouses in Erie. The lighthouse became active on July 12, 1873 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It is open to visitors during the summer and guided tours are available.
