Netherlands means low-lying country. The country is indeed low-lying and remarkably flat, with large expanses of lakes, rivers, and canals. Since it is a small country, most of the places we visited were within driving distance from Amsterdam. We rented a car for the 4 days, which gave us the flexibility to see more places and sites in the short period of time.
